Winter Camp - March 7-9, 2025

Winter Camp at Hume SoCal has been such a blessing to our youth for several years now. I’ve been thrilled with the facilities (with the exception of their squeaky bunkbeds), staff, and programming!
I am so pumped for this year’s theme! This winter, we will walk through 1 John 4:7-12 to discover the truth about love. In a world that has distorted what love truly means, we look to Scripture for the foundational definition of love. May we come back down the mountain with radical love!

Sign-ups Are Simple!
Step 1 - Early Bird registration and $100 deposit by January 24
REGISTER HERE w/ $100 deposit by January 24 to lock in Early Bird rate of $375.
Otherwise, the late registration cost that’s due by February 21 is $400.
If needed, Hume SoCal offers scholarships called “Camperships.”
In “Step 2” below, you’ll have the opportunity to request one!
Step 2 - Claim your spot online w/ Hume SoCal by February 21
COMPLETE HUME’S REGISTRATION no later than February 21
and request a “Campership” (scholarship) if needed.
Step 3 - Request (or give) additional scholarships as needed

Step 4 - Pay final balance by February 28
SUBMIT FINAL BALANCE online by February 28.

When To Drop-off/Pick-up:
Check-in at the camp begins at 4pm on Friday, March 7th. That’s a bit early for us who are driving over an hour to get there, but it’s important we try to get there well before dark. So, we need to be leaving the church parking lot no later than 4pm. Please arrive at the church no later than 3:30pm. I know this may be difficult with some school schedules, but it’s the latest that’s doable for our collective schedule.

We are planning to return home on Sunday, March 9th after lunch around 1:00pm. This will likely return us to the church around 2:15pm-ish.
Medical Screening
Once again, Hume is requiring that all students see a medical professional within 24 hours of coming to camp. Covid tests are NOT required this time. But Hume does want all students pre-screened and a form signed verifying no germs are coming up with them. As a parent myself, expecting for parents to arrange for this 24 hours in advance is highly inconvenient. Therefore, secured a “healthcare professional” who is willing to meet us in the church parking lot prior to leaving for camp, to verify no students have had “fever, vomiting, or diarrhea” within 24 hours of leaving.
